“That’s Why We Do It”: Unpacking the Standout VA Projects I Loved This Year

When I first sat with this blog topic, I did what I always do: instinctively reached for my daily to-do list, not the Asana board, not Clockify, not the automated systems that (thankfully) keep my workflows sane and streamlined. My handwritten list. The one where I jot down tasks, tick them off with dramatic satisfaction, and scribble tiny notes about how long something took.
I know… I know. Old school.
But there’s something incredibly grounding about the physical act of putting pen to paper. And honestly, that little ritual mirrors perfectly what this blog is about: intentionality, joy, and the kind of work that sticks with you long after the task is done.
Because when you love what you do, context matters.
And this year? I loved a lot of things.
So in the spirit of keeping this brief (and probably failing), here are a few of the projects that truly lit me up in 2025: without, of course, naming names or revealing any client specifics.
The Online Session That Felt Like Producing a Mini Show
October was an especially fun month as we project-managed a themed online session for an attorney. Everything about it felt like controlled creative chaos in the best possible way.
From building the Asana cards and timelines, to coordinating team members, to setting up Eventbrite and designing the supporting social and email campaigns: the whole thing felt like conducting an orchestra.
We created the PowerPoint presentation. We managed the run-up.We ran the show. Then we dived into the after-party: CRM updates, mailing list clean-ups, even building a brand-new YouTube channel and post-event reels.
It was one of those projects where the process is as exciting as the product. A true team effort, and one that reminded me why I love project management so much.
Designing a Brand-New LinkedIn Newsletter from Scratch
This next project was for a leadership and change management expert whose approach I admire deeply: logical, methodical, thoughtful.
We were building something from absolute zero: Researching. Sketching ideas. Testing layouts. Refining fonts, colors, tone, spacing… Sometimes down to the pixel.
And when it finally came together…a clean, minimalistic, well-crafted newsletter that felt unquestionably “him”! It was so rewarding to watch subscribers grow week after week.
Every time I sit down to create a new issue, especially the featured image, I feel like I’m contributing to a brand that truly helps people. That’s a rare and energizing feeling.
My Weekly Rhythm: Blogs, SEO, Newsletters & the Prettiest Instagram Feed
Another project that consistently brings me joy is the weekly content cycle for an attorney focused on wealth management and estate planning.
It starts with a set of blogs. Then I rebuild them on the website, optimizing SEO down to the last keyword.Next, I create two newsletters: one for HubSpot, one for LinkedIn.And finally, my favorite part: creating Friday carousel posts for Instagram.
There’s something about turning legal content into polished, visually cohesive posts that scratches both my creative and strategic brain. And to this day, this client’s IG feed is one of my absolute favorites that A4H produces. (Maybe I’m biased… maybe.)
Fun, Fresh, Out-of-the-Box Creative for a Family Law Firm
I adore working on a recently onboarded family law client whose tone is upbeat, fun, and incredibly relatable. Finding the right visual imagery to match their warm-but-witty voice has been such a rewarding creative challenge.
Their blogs and newsletters are knowledgeable and educational, but they also carry that spark of levity. Getting that balance right is one of the smallest but most satisfying joys of the job.
Yes… Even Payroll Sparked Joy
I’m a creative.
I’m a strategist.
And I’m a numbers girl through and through.
So when a tech client entrusted me with bi-weekly payroll management, shifting between banking and accounting systems gave me a strange but delightful sense of zen. There’s beauty in precision, and this project reminded me of that.
Diving into Reels & TikTok for 2026
On the horizon is an exciting research project for a family law attorney with a fun, accessible approach to content. I’m diving deep into TikTok positioning, video strategy, and reel formats, and honestly, 2026 is looking very interesting already!
The Truth? Choosing Only a Few Favorites Was Impossible.
If I listed all the projects I loved this year, we’d be calling this a novella instead of a blog.
A4H’s work is diverse, creative, fast-paced, and deeply personal, and narrowing down highlights felt like picking favorite children.
But I hope this gave you a glimpse into the kind of things our Virtual Assistants do, and more importantly, the kind of work we genuinely enjoy.
Because at the end of the day…
You bring your projects to us…because these are the things we love doing.
